Case study

Cross River Radio uses both.

Cross River Radio is a London community radio station, and the company behind Discoverywall. It built these tools because it needed them, and it is their first user.

The need

Like every licensed station, Cross River Radio has to be able to produce a record of what it broadcast, and to make sure everyone who goes on air knows the Ofcom Code. With a team of volunteers and no compliance department, that has to be simple, affordable and provable.

How they use Audit

Audit records the station's live stream and checks every hour. Its station admin sees one page: the hours recorded, any gaps, how much is stored. If the stream drops or goes quiet, it raises an alert for the right people.

How they use Learn

Cross River Radio is rolling the Ofcom Broadcasting Code course out to its presenters and volunteers. It added its own house rules to the course, for example how it handles presenters' personal views, election periods, and religious programmes, so people learn both the Code and how the station applies it.
